Dhadkan

Co-Founder, 2021

After having a webinar with Maj Gen (Retd). JKS Parihar, I realised the lack of awareness in India when it came to Organ donation. Millions of people die due to the lack of organ availability and I wanted to change that. With a like-minded friend who understood my vision and helped me bring it to life, together, we launched Dhadkan. It is an apex networking organisation working with the government of Rajasthan to simplify and encourage the process of organ donation in India.

Core Team, 2021-22

After visiting the village Daurai in Ajmer and noticing the problem of over-flooding due to water from the mountains, my team and I knew we had to make better use of the situation. We created RCC canals to redirect the flow of water to a reservoir that connects to 20+ villages and helps irrigate 200+ farmlands. Not only did this solve the problem of overflooding in various villages fo Rajasthan, but also helped villagers remain cool in the high temperature summers.

Not having a constant light source after sundown is an issue across various parts of my state. To fix this problem, my team of 8 and I helped electrify villages in Rajasthan so that children can read in the dark and women can travel safely at night. By installing solar lamps throughout Rajasthan, Project 'Kiran' was able to light up many lives. It was also recognised by the Indian politician, Sachin Pilot.

JPIS Marathon

Student Council Event

In an attempt to give back to the community as well as raise the school spirit, the last event I led as a Cultural Head Girl was the JPIS Marathon. By inviting local businesses around Jaipur to put up stalls and partnering up with various hospitals and NGOs, we were able to raise $4000+ for Cancer patients. This event allowed for the perfect way to get kids to exercise, support local businesses, and do good for the community while donating to a cause.

We at KGB, work towards creating the school a more inclusive place for people of the LGBTQIA+ community. By introducing India's first ever “Inclusivity Day," we plan to shed light upon the struggles and the journeys of various members by conducting interviews with them, and Allies of the community. Despite the pandemic, we made sure that students were not denied the chance to be exposed to the broad spectrum of genders and identities. We provided a platform that will dispel all preconceived notions and prejudices against the community that students might harbour.

Take Ctrl
Hackathon

Core Team, 2020-21

As one of two girls in my CS class, I know there is a glass ceiling when it comes to women in Computer Science. In an attempt to fix that, my club Code&Her, conducted a virtual hackathon: TakeCtrl. It was open for all girls and non-binary individuals around the globe. The event aimed to encourage female and non-binary individuals to delve into the exhilarating world of CS for social good and marvel at a generation of future-minded geniuses, providing them with a platform to express their creativity and skill.

Scienceverse

Scienceverse Podcast

Co-Host, 2021-22

As a high schooler, it is hard to find time to take the extra step towards learning. To solve this problem, my friend and I created an on-the-go podcast for all things science. From bizarre scientific controversies that are changing our world to answering how various "fiction" movies might have a chance to become real in the future, Scienceverse has it all. It focuses on the mysterious, unanswered and intriguing questions of the universe. Listen to us con'verse' about the uni'verse' at Science'verse'.

Liberate
My OCD Fighter

Student Ambassador, 2019-2020

I have an aunt who suffers from OCD, which is why I have always understood the lack of awareness surrounding this issue. By partnering up with 'Liberate,' I was able to raise awareness and sensitise 5K+ people around Jaipur by hosting webinars, offline activities, poetry competitions and much more. The app also helps people like my aunt, track their compulsions and set their goals, to make one's battle against OCD, a lot easier.

SPARK

A ray of uniqueness, a surge of excitement, and a Spark of passion. More often than not, something completely unexpected grabs a hold of our hearts: a unique passionm a weird hobby, an unlikely hero. Almost everyone has that one hobby, be it photography, puzzle solving, or video gaming, that their school and local environment don't do much to support. For all those of you out there, there's a place for you in here.
Ignite Your Spark.

JPIS SUMMER
CAMP

Instructor, 2020-21

Alongside my fellow camp instructor, I was responsible for mentoring the cell biology camp for the 6th - 8th and 9th - 11th grades. In order to teach, we had to first learn and we spent the next three weeks immersed in reading papers about germination, CRISPR, sexing the mind, the structure of the brain, why gene therapy will be viable and so much more. At the end of the camp, our senior batch had to produce a 5 - 6 page research paper about any topic we had covered in detail and the juniors a presentation on the same.

ART WITH
A HEART

Individual art exhibition, 2022-23

Art Exhibition

‘Gift Of Life.’

The portrait features two young girls: one seems to be blue and pale while the other is covered in butterflies. Using this insect as a symbol for rebirth, transformation and hope, I've shown the blue girl (who's lost her life) merging into the other girl. The blue girl here, has donated her organs to the girl on the right, saving her life in the afterlife. I also set up a desk beside this exhibit for my app, Dhadkan, which allowed us to gain 3500 more pledges during the 2 days that this painting was presented.

‘Sack Of Compassion’
This artwork portrays how people should care more for animals. The material used is a sack made out of jute. The man painted on the sack shows his love for birds. Animals, especially birds have been extinct due to the lack of food and resources provided to them. The grains shown inside the sack portray food for the birds painted on the sack. The grains inside the sack are Bajara which is the local bird food. The rough texture is used to depict the cruelty and harshness, and the symbolic imagery of wings is used.
